Small team, big heart

In 1987, our longest-tenured (and possibly most hilarious) employee, Yvette Williams-Floyd, joined Union Plus.

Steve Winwood had the right idea. In 1988 Union Plus Car Rental discounts rolled into town with a single car rental discount. Fast-forward to 2026, Union Plus now offers discounts of up to 35% off NINE international car rental companies. Beep, beep!

The Americans with Disabilities Act becomes law, ensuring access and opportunities in the workplace. Your union helped make this a reality.

The Family & Medical Leave Act (FMLA) becomes law, guaranteeing workers unpaid leave as they care for a family member with health conditions.

Power to the Postal Workers

U.S. Post Office workers strike for an unprecedented 15 days. This watershed moment for the labor movement results in a 5-year contract instituting higher pay; pension security + 10,000 full-time positions, incorporating thousands of underpaid part-time employees! What a win!

Fast food workers hit the streets and vote to strike for a livable-minimum wage. Dubbed the "Fight for $15," this strike will reshape how unions organize lower-wage workers. Power to the people!
