Yes, you can nominate yourself if you are a current union member in good standing with a union internationally affiliated with the AFL-CIO.

The easiest way is to ask your nominee. But before we notify the 100 winners, we will verify they are a union member.

Whether it's video or a written entry, tell us what makes your nominee extraordinary. This could be the work they do in their community, the circumstances that they have overcome this year, or any manner of information that tells us why the nominee deserves a $1,000 boost this holiday season. Be passionate and creative — those stories often stand out from the entry pool.

Check the Official Rules <LINK NEEDED> for complete entry details and eligibility. We'll select the winners based on creativity, clarity and whether the content is what we asked for.

Winners will be decided on a rolling basis throughout the month of December. Nominators will be alerted that their nominee has won, and arrangements will be made for a special reveal.
